Support Staff Appreciation Celebration!

This week we had our support staff appreciation celebration. I was in charge of this event for my committee and I was pretty pleased with how it all turned out! My committee is the BOMB!! We work so well together and everyone helps out, so it makes it quick and easy!! :)

We did a mustache theme, provided a breakfast for them, and a photo booth with fun props! They all had a blast and we got so many compliments. I'd say that's a WIN! Check out the cute photos from the celebration!

These are the invitations that I made.

Lounge decor with mustaches hanging from the ceiling, photo booth props on the tables, support staff pictures with an added mustache, and so much more!

It was pretty fun putting mustaches on all of them! Aren't they cute?! ;)

Don't they look like they're enjoying themselves?!

I had to snag a pic in the photo booth with my para!

My kiddos and I made this card for our AWESOME para! My parent volunteer was there in the morning too, so I had her pull out one kiddo at a time and they wrote why Mrs. Riley is SO awesome on a white board. Then she took their picture with them holding it and I put all the pictures in a video. We showed it to her at the end of the day and she loved it! :)

Do you celebrate your support staff?! If so, what fun things do you do?!

Halloween & Giveaway FUN!

The Boo-tiful Fall Giveaway ended late last night. I got home late tonight after a meeting, so I just posted the winners to my Facebook page! Congrats to Breanne, LaNessa, and Melinda for winning the three prizes!!! Also, a big THANK YOU to everyone that participated! It means a lot and I probably wouldn't keep blogging without all of your support! As I promised, my TpT store will be on sale all day tomorrow (November 6th), so if you didn't win, you can snatch up some items at a cheaper price!

This year for halloween, our staff vote was to stay at school instead of going to a pumpkin patch like we have done in years past. The afternoon was all halloween on Thursday. We watched a halloween movie in the gym with all of the students, then we came back to our rooms and got changed into our costumes, paraded through the rooms to show them off, and had a quick party within our own classrooms. I must admit, they looked pretty cute in their costumes! :)

This is my awesome para that I have this year! She keeps me sane and gives me the comic relief that we so often need throughout the day! :)

My sister-in-law made these awesome super teacher shirts that I designed. Our school theme this year is about being a super hero for our kids, so many of the teachers and staff dressed up as super heroes. I figured this would be a cute shirt that I could wear past halloween too! I shared the idea with our staff and they seemed to love it too! This is just a few of the "super staff" members at my school! They are all pretty amazing...I must say! :)

Oh and by the way, the super dreaded Friday after halloween school day really wasn't as bad as I had imagined. They were actually pretty calm! Must have been a sugar coma or something! I was exhausted though, that's for sure!!! How do you celebrate halloween at your school? We are always up for new ideas.

November Currently!

Heloooo November! I don't know if I'm glad to see you yet or not! ;) The exciting part - the holidays are on the way and I LOVE that time of year! The sad part - the cold weather is on the way and I have a major DISLIKE of that part of the year! Anywho...no way of stopping it, so I better embrace it!

On to this month's Currently with Farley!

Listening - I love chilling on a Saturday morning and have CMT music on the TV in the background.

Loving - Weekends!! Sleeping in!!! I think that's self explanatory! :)

Thinking - What to create next? I feel like I've been in a slump or when I go to create something I can't get it done in time. Oh well, I guess it will give me a head start when I actually do have some major free time to finish it before next year's holiday! In the end, I think I just need to get my "creative drive" back and I'll be good!

Wanting - I just signed up for Donor's Choose and I really want to put in a request for some iPads to use in my classroom, but it's a little nerve-wracking just like anything you've never done before. I just keep telling myself that it never hurts to try! Let me know if you have any tips!!

Needing - I signed up to present at our district tech fair again this year. I didn't know what to choose for my topic, so I chatted with my principal and we came up with teaching how to start selling on TeachersPayTeachers. It's not until the beginning of December, but I need to start planning for it now so it's not constantly in the back of my mind. Wish me luck! I'm trying to get better at presenting because to be honest, it's really far out of my comfort zone. It doesn't make me nervous to teach a bunch of kindergarteners, but teaching a bunch of teachers is kind of intimidating!! Haha!

Yummy pin(s) - Okay, I know it's just supposed to be one, but I had to choose two (and that was hard)! Butterfinger puppy chow and Bowtie Chicken Alfredo. I've made both and they are both AMAZING!!! Click on the pictures to take you there!

A dessert....

 ...and a meal!

"Life's short, eat dessert first!" Right?! ;-)

One more thing....

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! It ends in just a couple days!

Have a wonderful weekend!!
